It’s been a busy week for some who were unfortunate to play a postponed match on Monday. St Mary’s College took on St Augustine while St Anthony’s College hosted Fyzabad Secondary. Both North teams won comfortably at the end of that game day. The league table has not changed much since the start of the league. Shiva Boys Hindu College are still winning the league followed by Presentation College, Naparima College and St Anthony’s College to close off the top four. The top three are tied on sixteen points with goal difference being the only separator.

Carapichaima East v Signal Hill

It’s been a roller coaster ride for Carapichaima East, one match they are winning and the next match they are losing. They have lost the consistency they started the season with. Signal Hill are currently in 15th position and are desperate for a win to be out of the relegation zone. The boys from Tobago have only recorded one win this season.

QRC v St Augustine Secondary

The Royalians will certainly be disappointed after the performance this weekend only gave them a draw against St Anthony’s College. The game ended 3-3 a piece with St Anthony’s equalizing in the 97th minute off a beautiful free kick. Lucky for QRC, they are up against a St Augustine team who played just two days ago. This team missed their opportunity to make a serious claim to the title race when they lost to St Mary’s College on Monday.

Speyside High v Presentation College

The team with the worse goal difference in the league will host a team that knows where the goal is. Speyside High currently sit in last position will be up against Presentation College who are currently in 2nd place. Football is played on the pitch, so we’d leave this prediction up to the 90 minutes being played.

Fyzabad Sec v St Mary’s College

In what is possibly the most even match up of game day, the boys from Fyzabad will take on St Mary’s College later today. The winner of this fixture will simply move further away from the relegation zone but would not cause any immediate threat to the title contenders. Fyzabad are currently nursing a lose against Presentation College whereas St Mary’s College are coming off their biggest victory of the season.

Trinity College Moka v St Anthony’s College

The Moka Lions take on the Westmoorings Tigers. Interesting match up, with both teams needing a win to survive on either end of the table. A win for St Anthony’s College can catapult them to 1st place providing the top 3 teams lose or draw their matches. Whereas a win for Trinity College Moka will move them away from the relegation zone, they currently are 1 point away from the zone.

Naparima College v St Benedict’s College

In what used to be a huge fixture, we see these two South teams battle it out on Lewis Street. Naparima College being the favourite in this game as they are currently in third position compared to St Benedict’s College being 13th place. It was only this weekend that St Benedict’s College recorded their first victory and climbed up the table.

Shiva Boys Hindu College v Trinity College East

The boys from Penal will host the Trincity players with a little twist. The game is actually being played in Trincity, despite Shiva Boys supposedly being the home team. This may be a challenge for Shiva Boys, who are currently undefeated on the field, but by ruling have lost one match. The boys from Trincity are slowly finding back their form. We look forward to an exciting fixture.

San Juan North Sec v Fatima College

These two teams can both slip into the top 4 with a win today. They are currently in 6th (Fatima College) and 7th position (San Juan North). We are dubbing them, the dark horses of this week. This is a game that not much may be paying attention of their ranking but will be surprised to see how their results will affect the top four tremendously.
