Benny, Stokes and Ravello make their way into Unveil 11

A week filled with surprises and high scoring football matches once more. Let’s break it down for you. St Mary’s College pulling an upset against St Augustine Secondary on Monday, while Shiva Boys lost to Trinity College East and St Anthony’s scored six goals against Trinity College Moka.

The Unveil 11, consist of the best players of the league both voted and deserving by their weekly performances. The table is currently being topped by Presentation College followed by St Anthony’s College, Naparima College and Shiva Boys Hindu College. After a week of amazing football, who do you think made it into our Premier League team of the week?

GOAL KEEPER

Shawndell Byer of San Juan North is our choice for the goal this week. He is a first timer into the Unveil 11. San Juan North managed to get two clean sheets this week courtesy his wonderful saves and great defending by his team.

LEFT BACK

Finally, St Benedict’s College has made it into Unveil 11. None other than Mickel Ravello, the talented defender has caught our eye since the season begun. However, this week he was influential in his teams winning performance against Carapichaima East and their amazing 3-3 comeback against Naparima College.

CENTRE BACK

Captain Arfenee Stokes of Queen’s Royal College. A main player for the Royalians had a monster of a game against St Anthony’s College scoring two in their 3-3 draw. Despite his team’s defeat against St Augustine on Wednesday, his performance remained consistent throughout.

CENTRE BACK

Kyle Thomas, continues to put down a solid performance. The San Juan North defender was impenetrable these last two games. His team won their both fixtures comfortably as they make their way up the league table.

RIGHT BACK

San Juan North are silently creeping up the league table. Apart from the talent on top, they do not disappoint in defense. Kareem John, has been exceptional this game’s week and deserves a spot on the Unveil 11. He assisted in his team’s two shut outs this week.

LEFT WING

St Mary’s College’s captain Gabriel Nanton is our preferred choice for left wing this week. He is having a tremendous individual season thus far. This week he helped lead his team to a 4-1 victory against St Augustine Secondary School and got on the score sheet once again.

CENTRE MIDFIELD

The free kick specialist, Che Benny. This St Anthony’s College player wears number 9 and can be seen maneuvering through the football field with skill and confidence. He scored an amazing free kick in the 96th minute against QRC to earn his side a point in their 3-3 draw on Saturday. On Wednesday, he once again scored a free kick while attaining a hat trick against Trinity College Moka.

CENTRE MIDFIELD

Shiva Boys’ midfield maestro Tyrell Emmanuel continues to impress this season. He has been active in most of his team’s attacks, showcasing individual talent at times. The Shiva Boys’ center midfielder continues to find his form and scored against Fatima College on Saturday. Despite his performance on Wednesday, he was unable to get on the score sheet.

Right Wing

Judah St Louis of Naparima College continues to be an impressive player this season. After a good performance against St Mary’s College, he ended his game by scoring a penalty. Although he didn’t score against St Benedict’s College, he assisted two of the goals in the 3-3 draw.

FORWARD

He’s the league’s top scorer for another week. San Juan North’s forward Brandon Semper continues with his impressive performance. He was on his team’s score sheet as they defeated Fatima College 3-0.

FORWARD

Jaycee Paras can’t seem to stop scoring as his team’s performance keeps improving. He was on the score sheet for St Benedict’s in their last two encounters.
