A week ago, the table looked slightly different and Shiva Boys Hindu College were leading the table of 16. It’s now the Presentation College time to take charge as they enter this new game day as the league leaders in front of St Anthony’s College by two points. The rest of the top four consist of Naparima College and Shiva Boys Hindu College in 3rd and 4th position respectfully. The league is certainly starting to heat up. It’s still anyone’s league, at least those in the top 10, the points difference isn’t that much.
Trinity College East v Fatima College
Seventh place Trinity College East host their table neighbors, 8th place Fatima College in what we think is a very even match. However, the boys from Trincity are coming off a game where they handed Shiva Boys Hindu College their first defeat of the season. A win by either team can see them move to 4th place according to Shiva Boys’ result.
Signal Hill Sec v Naparima College
The Tobago team has no plans of relegation as they continue to climb the table. They are now in 12th position after defeating Carapichaima East 3-1 on Wednesday. Naparima College will be coming for blood after drawing 3-3 against St Benedict’s College. This draw place them in 3rd place compared to 2nd place had they won. They will certainly be going for the win with the hopes of overtaking their rivals Presentation College.
St. Anthony’s College v Shiva Boys Hindu College
Possibly the best game for the day by recent performances and the importance of a result for both teams. A win from either team can see them become league leaders providing that Presentation College and Naparima College both stumble against their opponents. This game will be won in the midfield as both teams currently have the best midfielders in the league.
St Benedict’s College v Fyzabad Sec
Earlier in the season, we would have given Fyzabad Sec the victory in this game. However, St Benedict’s College have made a full 360 where performance is concerned. They are bringing the fight game after game and have moved from the relegation zone. A win today will cement what a turn around they have had. This is quite the opposite for Fyzabad Sec, they started with winning performances and have seem to struggle in these past fixtures.
St Augustine v Trinity College Moka
The Green Machine better known as St Augustine Secondary are the secret stars in the league. They have been constantly pulling out outstanding performances throughout the season and if you have not noticed yet, they are in 5th position. A win today, will see them back in the top 4 as title contenders once again. The Moka Lions seem to lost their roar, with two early wins this season, they have lost 6 of their 8 games. They are currently in 14th position and will certainly want a win.
St Mary’s College v Speyside High
Speyside High will visit St Mary’s College with the hopes of recording their 2nd win of the season. They are currently in 16th position with the worse goal difference in the league. St Mary’s College will be going for the 2nd home victory after defeating St Augustine 3-1 on Monday. They did not play on Wednesday which leave them with a game in hand. They are currently in 11th position and a win may take them to 9th position with that game against Fyzabad Sec still to be played.
Presentation College v Queen’s Royal College
All eyes will be on this fixture. A win against Queen’s Royal College later will most likely extend their points lead in the top 4 even more. These boys have been consistent week in and week out, no surprise that they are currently leading. It’s been a real roller coaster ride for Queen’s Royal College, their performance this season has not been consistent so you can expect the unexpected tomorrow. They need a win as they are currently 15th in this 16 team league.
Carapichaima East Sec v San Juan North
It’s going to be a long day for Carapichaima East, defending and attacking. The boys from San Juan have not been scored on this week but made sure that they were on the score cards. Carapichaima are coming off a 3-1 home defeat against Signal Hill which have them in 9th position. San Juan North defeated Fatima College 3-0 which pushed them up to 6th position. A win by either team will certainly shake up the entire table.
